Uthara Iyer

Uthara Iyer is an experienced professional currently serving as the Manager of Portfolio and Programs at Social Alpha since March 2021, focusing on new materials, circular economy, and related sectors through responsibilities that include thesis development, innovation scouting, due diligence, and portfolio management. Prior to this role, Uthara worked as a Consultant at EY from December 2017 to January 2021, managing international innovation initiatives for the Government of Karnataka and facilitating partnerships for startups. Uthara's career also includes research on lean management for the Midday Meal Scheme in Karnataka as a Researcher at Plustrust, technical consulting for IoT projects at West Monroe, and an internship at Atlas5D, where the development of secure login systems for applications was initiated. Uthara holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, earned between 2010 and 2014.
