Heather Lewis Charp has extensive experience in research and evaluation, currently serving as a Senior Fellow and Principal at Social Policy Research Associates since June 1998. Key contributions include acting as the Principal Investigator for the Evaluation of Teen and Youth Empowerment Programs for the Department of Children, Youth, and Families, and leading a study on Student-Centered Practices in collaboration with Stanford Center for Opportunity and Policy in Education. Previously, Heather worked as a Contract Researcher for the School Redesign Network at Stanford University on the School Equity Study and as a Research Consultant at BioCybernaut Institute focusing on psychological research. Additionally, experience as a Survey Researcher for the California Department of Public Health involved conducting detailed surveys on various public health issues. Heather holds a Master's degree in Education Research from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a Bachelor's degree in Bioresource Science with an emphasis in Neurobiology from the University of California, Berkeley.
