Consultant - Social Value / Sustainability Strategy at Social Value Portal

Aisha R. has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2016 as a Guide-Interpreter for the Office of the Official Secretary to the Governor-General. In 2017, they worked as a Policy Assistant for the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat, where they drafted the department's internal mental health strategy. From 2018 to 2021, they worked for National Congress of Australia's First Peoples as a Policy Assistant, writing policy submissions to Joint Select Committees of Parliament and advocating for policy change in support of greater Aboriginal political representation and the improvement of socioeconomic circumstances. Aisha also worked as an Outreach Intern for Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Canada, supporting the organization's humanitarian mission through outreach activities. Currently, they are a Consultant - Social Value/ESG Strategy, Policy, and Corporate Reporting for Social Value Portal.

Aisha R. has a diverse educational background. Aisha began their studies in 2011 at Colonel By Secondary School, where they earned both an International Baccalaureate Diploma and an Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Aisha also completed a High School International Baccalaureate Diploma during this time. From 2015 to 2019, Aisha attended the University of Toronto - University of Trinity College and earned a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and Health Studies. In 2019, they began their Master of Philosophy - MPhil in Development Studies at the University of Oxford and is expected to complete it in 2021. Additionally, Aisha has a Diplôme d'études en langue Française - Niveau B2 du cadre européen commun de référence pour les langues, obtained from the République Française - Ministère de l'éducation nationale, de l'enseignement supérieur et de la recherche in 2015.
