Daniel McIlwaine

Daniel McIlwaine has worked in a variety of roles in the commercial and healthcare sectors since 2007. From 2007 to 2009, they worked as a Primary Care Representative at Pfizer, where they developed their sales skills. From 2009 to 2016, they worked at Johnson & Johnson as an Account Manager, where they developed their commercial acumen in a competitive NHS market. From 2016 to 2017, they worked at Liaison as a Business Development Manager, where they developed an in-depth understanding of the NHS Procurement landscape. From 2017 to 2018, they worked at SME Bidder as a Bid Manager, Tender Expert, and OJEU expert, where they secured contracts worth millions for small and medium-sized businesses. From 2018 to 2019, they worked at Aetna, a CVS Health Company, as a Commercial Bid Manager. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at BiP Solutions Ltd as a Senior Commercial Manager. Currently, they are working at Social Value Portal as a Senior Commercial Manager and Bid Manager, and at Proposal Manager Ltd as the Founder, where they help organisations to find and win more opportunities. Daniel is APMP Practitioner qualified, with a strong commercial acumen across sectors including healthcare, IT, construction, and facilities management.

Daniel McIlwaine attended The Gordon Schools from 1996 to 2001. Daniel then went on to the University of Aberdeen, where they obtained a BSc (Hons) 2:1 in Biomedical Science (Physiology) from 2002 to 2006. In 2011, they returned to the University of Aberdeen to complete a PG in Health Economics, which they completed in 2012.
