Kate Sparshott

Kate is a Consultant at Social Ventures Australia (SVA) and has worked in a variety of policy, program, project management, and legal roles across government and the not-for-profit sector in Australia.

Most recently she worked for the Victorian Government Department of Jobs, Precincts, and Regions leading the development of Victoria’s new Social Enterprise Strategy 2021-2025. Before this, she was a Senior Policy Advisor at the Victorian Department of Premier and Cabinet in Aboriginal Affairs policy, where she led the housing, health, mental health, and disability portfolios. She also led a whole of government systems to change projects to better enable Aboriginal self-determination – including governance, funding, and data reform projects which involved strong engagement with government agencies, Aboriginal organizations and communities.
