Valdério Matias

Val Delos Santos-Duarte has extensive experience in education and child development, serving as an educator at St. Anthony Grade School and St. Anthony School since August 1992. Additionally, Val is currently a Plant Quarantine Aide with the USDA, a position held since August 2019. Previous roles include being the Division Chair for the Young Pre-School Division at Star of The Sea Early Learning Center and a teacher at Makiki Christian Pre-School. Val also worked at Kapiolani Women's and Children's Medical Center in dual capacities as a Crisis Intervention Worker and Outreach Worker. Academically, Val holds a Master of Science in Ecological Teaching and Learning from Lesley University and a Master of Education from Heritage University, along with a Bachelor of Arts with dual majors in Social Work and Sociology from Pacific University, and a Child Development Accreditation from Honolulu Community College.
