Sean Lahman

Sean Lahman has worked in the field of data and content management since 1991. Sean began their career as a Software Developer at Eastman Kodak, where they developed web-based and desktop software applications. In 1999, they moved to Total Sports Publishing as Digital Publishing Director & Senior Editor, developing in-house software applications and designing and developing data-driven websites. In 2003, they worked as a Reporter/Columnist for The New York Sun, covering baseball and pro football beats and writing a column focusing on statistical analysis. From 2008 to 2011, they worked as a Freelance/Self-Employed Consultant providing database and content consulting for commercial websites and apps developers. Finally, from 2010 to present, they have been a Data Watchdog Reporter for the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle and USA Today Network, generating content for digital and print platforms as part of local, regional and national investigative teams. Sean has also worked as a Data Projects Manager for SABR-- The Society for American Baseball Research, consulting on database development and data licensing projects.

Sean Lahman attended the University of Cincinnati from 1986 to 1989. In 2010, they completed the Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism at the University of California, Berkeley. In 2017, they attended the FBI Citizens Academy.
