Allison Hubel, PhD, serves as the President Elect of the Society for Cryobiology, an organization focused on the impact of low temperatures on biological systems since 1964. At the University of Minnesota, Allison Hubel has held multiple roles including Director of the Technological Leadership Institute, Director of the Biopreservation Core Resource, and various professorship positions since March 1996. In addition, Allison Hubel is the Founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Evia Bio, a company dedicated to developing organic compounds that enhance cell stability and integrity during cryopreservation by mitigating the damage caused by traditional DMSO technology. Education includes a PhD and MS in Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, along with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University.
