Paula Callaghan

Paula Callaghan is an acquisitions editor at Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM). Paula has been with SIAM for seven years and two months, during which time they have worked with authors to manage SIAM's book series in financial math and engineering, optimization, statistics, imaging science, partial differential equations, life science and applied mathematics, and data science. SIAM is known for its high quality, reasonably priced textbooks and monographs, and its author-focused approach to publishing.

Before joining SIAM, Paula was publisher of Science & Technology at Elsevier, where they managed a team of seven editors and support staff covering the global book program in physical sciences. Paula achieved growth and profitability targets, publication schedules, and implementation of strategic plans of print and e-book programs during their two years with Elsevier.

Prior to Elsevier, Paula was executive editor at Springer SBM for ten years and seven months. And before Springer, Paula was senior editor at Lippincott Willimans & Wilkins for twelve years.
