Melanie A. Stopponi has extensive experience in both health education and puppy raising. Currently serving as a Puppy Raiser for Canine Companions for Independence since July 2014, Melanie is responsible for providing a safe environment, obedience training, and healthcare for specially-bred puppies, ensuring their readiness for advanced training. Prior to this role, Melanie spent significant time at Kaiser Permanente, where a career as a Project Manager transitioned into Nursing Services after starting as a Health Education Specialist from 1982 to 1993. In addition to these roles, Melanie has been actively involved in public health education, serving in various capacities for the Society of Public Health Education and the Colorado Society of Public Health Education, including roles as National Delegate and Past Speaker for the House of Delegates.
