Faith Powell

Faith Powell has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Faith started their career as a Mechanical Engineer at Tetra Tech INCA in October 2013 and worked there until February 2018. After that, they joined HDR in March 2018 as a Water Resources Engineer and later advanced to the position of Water Resources Project Manager in October 2021. Currently, Faith is an Associate at HDR since January 2023. Alongside their professional work, Faith has also been involved with the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) as the Assistant Treasurer from July 2019 to June 2022 and as the 2nd Vice President of the Seattle Post since July 2022. In their SAME roles, they are responsible for financial matters, event organization, and fundraising efforts for scholarships in STEM fields.

Faith Powell completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mathematics from the University of Colorado Boulder from 2008 to 2013. In 2017, they attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for a brief period, but the degree obtained is unspecified. Faith Powell has obtained several professional certifications, including a Rope Access Technician Level 1 certification from the Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians (SPRAT) in December 2021. Faith also holds a Professional Engineer (PE) license from the Washington State Department of Licensing since June 2018, a Licensed Professional Engineer certification from the State of California since June 2017, and a Professional Engineer (PE) license from the North Carolina board of examiners for engineers and surveyors since September 2022. Additionally, they have a Confined Space in Construction certification from United Rentals, but the month and year of obtaining it are not provided.
