Janet Thron

Janet Thron has extensive experience in project management and publishing, currently serving as the Project Manager for Publications at the Society of Critical Care Medicine since August 2016. Prior to this role, Janet held the position of Senior Acquisitions Editor at the American Medical Association from January 2007 to 2016, focusing on product management and publishing, including the development of print and digital materials. Additionally, Janet served as Managing Editor for the Journal of Disaster Medicine and Public Health Preparedness, contributing to its strategic development and success in achieving Medline indexing. Earlier career roles include Health Advisor for Hinsdale Township High School District 86, advisory board member for the Gerard Center at Catholic Charities, and Medical Technologist positions at Good Samaritan Hospital and Rush University Medical Center. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Health from Benedictine University and a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Medical Technology from Northern Illinois University.
