Adam Friend

Adam Friend is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in healthcare management and medical staffing. As Treasurer and a founding member of the Society of Hospital Medicine Upstate South Carolina Chapter since April 2017, Adam collaborates with chapter leadership to set annual goals. Adam is also the Chief Executive Officer and Owner of FRIEND HEALTHCARE SOLUTIONS, a company specializing in the recruitment and placement of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants, actively serving the Upstate South Carolina and Indiana markets since February 2012. Prior to these roles, Adam gained significant experience at Johnson & Johnson in various sales positions from January 2002 to June 2012, where successful product launches and partnerships were established. Earlier clinical roles included work as a Clinical Counselor at the Charleson/Dorchester Department of Mental Health and as a Mental Health Counselor at the Medical University of South Carolina. Adam holds a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from The Citadel and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Indiana University.
