Karen Horting

Karen Horting, CAE, has an extensive background in executive leadership and marketing, currently serving as the Executive Director & CEO of the Society of Women Engineers since March 2004, following roles as Deputy Executive Director and Director of Fund Development within the same organization. Prior experience includes serving as Director of Strategic Planning at the New York Academy of Sciences and Global Marketing Director at AAAS. Earlier positions also include Director of Marketing at Apollo Group, where marketing support was provided to adult continuing education programs, Marketing Manager at Duron Paints & Wallcoverings, and Manager at Valspar Paint Services Pty Ltd. Karen Horting holds an MBA in Marketing Management from The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School and a BS in Biology from Northern Illinois University.
