Omar Kahly is currently an R&D team member at Socratic Med. Prior to this, they were an intern at Agents of Change - Bay Area, where they educated students from underserved communities on biology in the hopes of influencing them to pursue STEM-related careers. Omar was also a board member at FREMONT FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER CORPORATION, responsible for drafting the FRC Strategic Plan 2018-2023. At UCSF Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging, they worked closely with the cyclotron department to receive radiotracer pharmaceuticals and performed dosing and administration through IV/IP injection. Omar also collected and analyzed error logs from comprehensive diagnostic tests on PET/CT machinery using IAW software for troubleshooting.
Omar Kahly has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Omar also has a High School Diploma from American High School. Omar has taken a course in Physiology & Anatomy at Stanford University School of Medicine. In addition, they have certification from University of California, Berkeley in Berkeley EHS Fundamentals of Laboratory Safety Course Completion and from Stanford Medical Youth Science Program in Stanford Medical Youth Science Program Certification of Completion (C/O '17). Finally, they have certification from CITI Program, A Division of BRANY in Working with the IACUC (All Animal Users).
