Álvaro Pérez Molina is the current Business Director at Socya. Álvaro has held this position for 7 years, during which time they have also served as an advisor for strategic and sectoral analysis, as well as the head of the Territorial and Sectorial Analysis Unit. In their role, they are responsible for generating valuable information with a focus on territory and sector for Socya's executive and operational levels, contributing to the development of sustainable management strategies for the public and private sectors. Álvaro also provides consulting and support for multiple projects related to territorial analysis and management, meeting standards that contribute to the quality of processes and the development of areas of influence. Some of the notable projects they have supported include: the Ituango Hydroelectric Project for EPM, the Porvenir II Project for Celsia, the Quimbo Project for Emgesa, the Berlin Project for Continental Gold, the Quebradona Project and the Gramalote Project for AngloGold Ashanti, the Formulation of Resettlement Action Plan for Drummond, CI Prodeco and Colombian Natural Resources, and the Intercolombia Energy Transmission Line Project for Ituango. Prior to their current role, they served as Regional Director - Andean Region for Energy, Infrastructure & Natural Resources with Americas Market Intelligence for 7 months, and as Coordinator of Sociopolitical Management with HMV Ingeniers for 8 months.
Alvaro Perez Molina has a Magister in Urban and Environmental Processes from Universidad EAFIT (2016-2018), a degree in International Negotiation from Esumer (2007-2011), and a degree in Political Science from Universidad Nacional de Colombia (2007-2011).
Each of these colleagues work with Álvaro Pérez Molina in some capacity to help with the business director role. This includes working on strategy, social and environmental projects, external communications, and shared services.
