Ali R. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. They are currently working at Soda Health as a Senior Engineering Manager, focusing on SaaS Engagement. Prior to that, Ali worked at eVisit as an Engineering Manager, specializing in Enterprise Healthcare.

Before joining eVisit, Ali founded Lakeshore Labs and successfully built four profitable SaaS products in areas such as fleet-management, convenience-store automation, dental imagery, and learning-management. They were responsible for all aspects of product and engineering, and implemented differentiated hiring strategies that facilitated company growth from 3 to 36 employees.

Ali also has experience with major companies like Oracle and SparklineData Inc. At Oracle, they served as a Consulting Member of the Technical Staff for Big Data Cloud Suite, leading the development of the first cloud-based Spark-as-a-Service product. Additionally, while at SparklineData Inc., Ali worked as a Principal Software Engineer, creating the first self-serve Spark-as-a-Service on Kubernetes that enabled SQL queries across distributed datasets.

They also have experience at Momentum Machines Company as a Lead Software Engineer, where they led teams to create a distributed system that controlled robots for preparing and cooking hamburgers. Ali's contributions included developing coding tools and frameworks to facilitate efficient coding by all engineers.

Furthermore, Ali worked at SAP as a Staff Software Engineer, contributing to the implementation of a lock-free persistent hash-table that significantly improved query performance in SAP's IQ OLAP database. They also played a crucial role in integrating HANA in-memory database and Hadoop for the first in-memory scale-out solution.

Earlier in their career, Ali worked at Solyndra as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, responsible for process monitoring and improvement in the manufacturing of thin-film solar cells. They developed software for real-time monitoring, leading to a 200% increase in yield and a drastic reduction in lead-time.

Ali's journey began as a Student Researcher at UC Berkeley, where they conducted research on nanowire-based solar cells and developed software for simulations. They also worked at Cisco Systems as a Network Consultant Engineer.

Ali R. has a diverse education history in the field of engineering and computer science. In 2006, Ali R. started studying Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Missouri University of Science and Technology. After a year, Ali R. transferred to Chabot College in 2007, where the focus of study remained in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In the same year, Ali R. also attended Diablo Valley College to pursue Computer Science. Ali R. continued their education journey by enrolling at the University of California, Berkeley in 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in 2010.
