Angela Smedley

Angela Smedley is a seasoned compliance professional with extensive experience in Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) strategy and program management. Currently serving as Senior Compliance Officer and CRA Officer at SoFi since November 2020, Angela has been instrumental in the development and implementation of the bank's inaugural CRA Strategic Plan. Prior to SoFi, Angela held various roles at Capital One, where accomplishments included leading a team to achieve significant annual results, implementing Agile methodologies, and managing a large-scale investment tracking transition. Angela's career began at Wells Fargo, where a series of promotions culminated in the role of Vice President, where leadership of a high-performing CRA Data and Analytics Team resulted in notable increases in lending while efficiently reducing operational costs. Angela holds a PMP Certificate from the Project Management Institute and a degree from the University of Utah.
