James Stewart

James Stewart has a diverse work experience in the field of design and user experience. James currently holds the position of Senior Director of Design at SoFi. Prior to that, they worked at Google as a Senior Staff Design Manager for Fitbit Devices and Google Nest Solution areas. During their tenure at Nest, they held roles such as Design Manager for Camera, Doorbell, & Security, UX Manager for Nest Camera, and Senior UX Designer. Before joining Google and Nest, James co-founded TribeHR, a social human resources company. James also worked as a User Experience Designer at PostRank and Experience Designer at LiveHive Systems. Additionally, they gained teaching experience as a Part-Time Instructor for Interaction Design at Sheridan College / York University. James has also contributed as a member of the Advisory Committee for the Association of Registered Graphic Designers and as a Senior Designer and Usability Champion at Barking Dog Studios.

James Stewart's education history includes attending York University from 1997 to 2001, where they pursued a Bachelor of Design (BDes) degree in Graphic Design. During the same years, they also attended Sheridan College, where they also pursued a Bachelor of Design (BDes) degree in Graphic Design.
