Johan Vounckx

Johan Vounckx has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Johan is currently the Head of Connected Home Platform at SoftAtHome and an Advisory Board Member at ACA Group. Previously, they served as the Technical WG Chair at HESP Alliance and Vice President of Innovation at THEO Technologies. Before that, Johan held various roles at EVS Broadcast Equipment, including Senior Vice President of Innovation & Technology, where they managed multiple R&D teams and led projects related to algorithms, artificial intelligence, networking, and real-time processing. Prior to EVS, they worked at Telenet as the Manager of the Technology Office and Manager of Innovation and Business Development. Johan also has experience at IMEC, ICOS, and Siemens-Nixdorf.

Johan Vounckx completed their Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Engineering from KU Leuven in the years 1987 to 1992. Following that, they pursued a PhD in Engineering from KU Leuven from 1992 to 1996. After a gap, Johan pursued further studies and earned an MBA degree from the University of Antwerp from 2004 to 2006.
