Vinay Chowdhary

Vinay has been a successful innovator and entrepreneur in the life science industry for over 25 years.

He founded biotechnology company QualiconTM, a subsidiary of DuPont that invented and markets DNA-based automated microbial analysis systems for the global food industry, serving as its CEO until his retirement. The company’s innovative products provide highly accurate microbial analyses of food and other products susceptible to microbial contamination, resulting in greater safety and quality. Previously, Vinay served in roles of increasing responsibility at DuPont, including General Manager at DuPont FQMS Venture and as Research Supervisor at DuPont Central Research & Development. He currently serves as an advisor to early-stage entrepreneurial companies. Vinay received Ph.D. and A.M. degrees from Harvard University, M.Sc. from the Indian Institute of Technology and a B.Sc. from Bombay University.
