Director Data Science at Softheon

Caroline Ledbetter has a diverse work experience in the field of data science. Caroline currently holds the position of Director Data Science at Softheon since April 2023. In this role, they collaborate with engineering teams to implement data dashboards and automated reporting pipelines, as well as develops solutions with client analytics teams to enhance offerings and increase client value. Prior to joining Softheon, Caroline worked as a Senior Data Scientist at NextHealth Technologies from April 2020 to June 2022. During their tenure, they played a key role in rebuilding core intellectual property into pyspark from pandas, resulting in significant cost reduction and improved performance. Caroline also implemented docker runtime deployments and CI/CD pipelines, leading to faster and more efficient data processing.

Caroline's earlier experience includes working as a Sr Professional Research Assistant at the Colorado School of Public Health from June 2017 to April 2020. In this role, they served as a Collaborative Biostatistician, conducting statistical analyses on various research projects. Caroline developed a predictive model for food source attribution and deployed it as a shiny app. Additionally, they conducted a step wedge study on the effectiveness of a clinical decision support tool for improving opioid prescribing.

Before their time at the Colorado School of Public Health, Caroline worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Colorado Denver from May 2015 to June 2017. Caroline'sresponsibilities included data analysis for the Study to Explore Early Development and collaborating with researchers to design statistical analyses.

Caroline Ledbetter earned their Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2015. Following this, they went on to pursue a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree with a focus on Applied Biostatistics at the Colorado School of Public Health. Caroline completed their postgraduate studies at the latter institution, graduating in 2017.
