Sergei Pogrebnyak

Sergei Pogrebnyak has extensive work experience in the software industry, starting in 1990 with Sprite Software in Ukraine, where they served as a Lead Software Developer until 1997. Sergei then joined Validio as a Lead Software Developer, working there until 2001. In 2001, they started working as a Sr. Software Engineer at Datachannel and then moved to Netegrity in 2002 as a Principal Software Engineer. Since 2003, Sergei has been with Software AG, where they have held various roles, including Architect, Principal Architect, Director of Software Development, Vice President of Cloud Ops and DevOps, and currently, serving as the CTO and VP of Cloud Platform Engineering. Throughout their career, Sergei has focused on enabling innovation, reducing costs, and leading the implementation of DevOps strategies and tools in software development and cloud operations.

Sergei Pogrebnyak holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from Kharkiv National University of Radioelectronics. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications in various fields. Sergei achieved the ITIL Foundation Level certification from PeopleCert in July 2021. In September 2018, Sergei completed the Neural Networks and Deep Learning certification from Coursera. Sergei also attained the Amazon Web Services DevOps Engineering certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in July 2016. In September 2013, they completed the Startup Engineering certification from Coursera. Furthermore, Sergei holds multiple certifications from Microsoft, including the AZ-304 Microsoft Azure Architect Design certification and the Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification, both obtained in November 2020. Sergei also obtained the AZ-300 Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies certification from Microsoft in June 2020.
