Prior to this, Erik held various positions at VX Company from 2008 to 2022. These roles include Algemeen Directeur VX Company Software Development, Business Unit Manager Application Development & Integration, Business Development Manager Solutions, Business Unit Manager Enterprise Open Source Services, and Business Unit Manager Java. Before joining VX Company, Erik worked at LeanApps as a Manager Development from 2002 to 2008, THIS as a Project Manager from 1997 to 2002, Foxim Software as a Project Leader from 1996 to 1997, Malmberg Informatisering as a Database Administrator from 1995 to 1996, and Tauw Civiel en Bouw as a Software Developer from 1993 to 1995.

Erik Zeillemaker has a diverse educational background. Erik attended Christelijk Lyceum Almelo from 1978 to 1985, where they obtained a degree in Atheneum B. Erik then pursued higher education at the University of Twente from 1985 to 1993, earning a Master of Science degree in Informatica. Later, from 2002 to 2005, they enrolled in Inholland University of Applied Sciences and obtained a Bachelor of Music degree with a focus on Music.
