René D.

René D. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. René started their career as an Engineer at TAS in 1999 and later moved on to work as a Consultant at LogicaCMG, where they were responsible for setting up and managing ITIL processes. In 2003, René joined Cordares as a Team Leader before transitioning to BT Global Services as a Service Manager in 2005. At BT, they worked with top Dutch companies, including Orange NL, where they served as an Interim Manager of the IT back office.

René then joined Orange Business Services as a Service Management Consultant, where they played a crucial role in defining and implementing ITIL processes and setting up the Service Management Center. In 2006, they started working with Gemeente Amsterdam as a Management Consultant, overseeing the design and implementation of ITIL processes within the Shared Service Center.

René joined BT once again in 2007, this time as the Head of Consultancy & Solutions Integration NL, managing the profit and loss of the unit and achieving high growth numbers. René also served as the Manager of Consultancy and Solutions Integration, leading the unit from scratch and building the organization, processes, alignment with BT GS and BT PS Benelux. René also held the positions of Manager Consultancy, People Manager Consultancy, and Manager Business Development a.i. during their tenure at BT.

In 2014, René joined Avantage IT as the Sales Manager for Obtain, focusing on application development, data management, and Business intelligence. René later became the General Manager of the Cloud and Professional Services business units, where they restructured the operations teams and developed business with existing and new customers.

René is currently working at Software Improvement Group (SIG) as the Manager Guidance Consultancy. Prior to this role, they served as the Manager Security and Privacy, responsible for managing a team of Security experts, global sales and business development, and aligning the proposition with the market and customer base. Before that, René held the position of Business Development, Trusted Advisor, and advisor on Security and privacy, where they answered complex issues in the areas of Security, Privacy, risk management, and maintainability while actively engaging in business development with global customers for software quality projects.

Throughout their career, René has demonstrated strong leadership skills, business development expertise, and a deep understanding of ITIL processes and project management.

René D. began their education at De Wadden Elementary School, where they attended from 1982 to 1988. They then went on to Coornhert Lyceum, where they completed their HAVO degree from 1990 to 1994. Following that, René studied Mechanical Engineering at Hoogeschool Haarlem from 1995 to 1997, earning a HTS degree. In 2006, they obtained an IPMA-C certification in Project Management from the IPMA Institute. In 2009, René completed a Masterclass in Management Consultancy at NCOI. The following year, they attended BT and received a certificate in the Inspirational Leadership Programme. In terms of security education, René completed a CISSP certification from CISSP in an unspecified year, which they pursued until 2016. In 2017, they pursued further education in security by attending Security Academy for another CISSP certification.
