Christina Sass

Christina Sass is the co-founder and COO of Andela, which aims to train 100,000 world-class software developers in Africa over the next 10 years as full-time, distributed team members. Andela represents Sass’s dream of a scalable way for promising but disadvantaged young people to receive training and employment that leads to life-long careers without any debt and without leaving home, and ranked first among Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies of 2017 in Africa.

Prior to Andela, Sass built education and employment programs in China, Gaza and the West Bank, Kenya, and Nigeria. She advised the President and CEO of the Mastercard Foundation, a $9 billion global foundation working to advance youth learning and financial inclusion for youth in Africa. Sass serves on the Advisory Council of the NYU Stern Center for Business and Human Rights and on the board of the nonprofit Global Give Back CircleSass has a B.A. in Ancient Philosophy from the University of Georgia and an M.A. in International Law and Diplomacy from Tufts University.
