Jan Börtin

Jan B. has significant experience in both military and technical fields. Currently serving as a pilot and commissioned officer in the United States Air Force since April 2013, Jan B. specializes as an airborne systems engineer, demonstrating expertise in critical systems troubleshooting for multi-billion dollar intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance aircraft under stringent timelines for national security missions. Prior to military service, Jan B. worked as a lighting technician for Royal Caribbean from November 2009 to March 2011, overseeing lighting and special effects equipment across five venues and effectively communicating with diverse cultures. Jan B. holds an MBA/MS in Information Systems from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Technical Theatre/Theatre Design and Technology from Texas State University.
