Annette Werth

Annette Werth serves as the World Wide Technology Lead for Energy and Utilities at Amazon Web Services since December 2020, focusing on sustainable and scalable solutions for the Energy and Utilities Industry. In addition, Annette holds a position as Visiting Researcher at the Institute for Future Initiatives at The University of Tokyo, where research focuses on global energy policy and decentralized energy systems. As Co-Founder and CTO of SOGO Energy Pte. Ltd., Annette contributes to providing clean energy to rural communities in Asia. Previous roles include Associate Researcher at Sony Computer Science Laboratories Paris, Director of P2P at TRENDE Inc., and positions at Tokyo Electric Power Company and Sony Computer Science Laboratories Tokyo. Annette's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Engineering from The University of Tokyo and a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Ecole polytechnique de Bruxelles.
