Catherine Hughes

Catherine Hughes is a seasoned professional in the tourism and events management sector, currently serving as the Business Development Manager for Visitor Experiences at the Sydney Opera House since August 2023. Additionally, Catherine is an active Committee Member at YATEC NSW, contributing to the development of future leaders in the tourism industry. Catherine's prior experience includes significant roles at the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse, where leadership in the Brand Identity Project and corporate website rebuild was demonstrated, along with previous positions at the South Australian Tourism Commission and Regional Development Australia Murraylands and Riverland, focusing on marketing and project support. Catherine holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in Business: Tourism and Events Management and Marketing from the University of South Australia, complemented by an exchange semester at the University of Strathclyde.
