Laura Matarese

Laura Matarese is a seasoned professional in heritage management with extensive experience across various esteemed organizations. Currently serving as Heritage Manager at the Sydney Opera House since January 2018, Laura previously held the role of Planning and Heritage Policy Officer. At the J. Paul Getty Trust from January 2015 to January 2018, Laura contributed as an Associate Project Specialist focused on significant conservation initiatives, including the Conserving Modern Architecture Initiative and notable projects like the Eames House and Salk Institute. Earlier experiences include roles as Senior Heritage Consultant and Historic Heritage Team Leader at Archaeological & Heritage Management Solutions, alongside positions at the Presidio Trust and Archaeology and Heritage Pty Ltd. Laura’s educational background features a Master of Heritage Conservation and a Bachelor of Liberal Studies (Honours) from the University of Sydney.
