Sebastián Sánchez Vasco

Sebastián Sánchez Vasco has a diverse work experience in the hotel industry. Sebastián started their career in 1996 as Adjunto al Director at Casino Bávaro, Barceló Bávaro Beach Resort in the Dominican Republic. Sebastián was responsible for managing the cash flow, daily reconciliation of funds, personnel management, and performance control.

In 1998, Sebastián joined Barceló Hotel Group as Encargado de facturación, where they handled billing responsibilities. Sebastián then served as Gestor de cobros, managing collections, and later as Jefe de administración at Hotel Barceló Pueblo Benidorm, Alicante. In this role, they were responsible for the hotel's accounting management, balance preparation, financial closures, supplier payments, and bank reconciliation.

Sebastián moved to Hotel Torrequebrada in 2002 as Jefe de contabilidad and was responsible for the hotel's accounting department. Afterward, they joined Valle del Este Hotel Golf Spa in 2004 as Director de administración. In this position, they oversaw administration and purchasing for a wide range of facilities, including a hotel, spa, golf club, beach club, paddle club, shopping center, maintenance company, and supermarket. Their responsibilities included financial closures, treasury forecasting, tax filings, internal and external auditing, grant management, insurance, and telecommunications. Sebastián was also in charge of the hotel's IT systems and the supermarket.

Sebastián joined Econatur in 2021 as Director de Administración y Finanzas. Sebastián managed the administration and finance department for the Econatur group, handling tasks such as financial closures, treasury forecasting, financial planning, relationships with financial institutions, external auditing, human resources, grant management, and insurance for all the companies within the group.

Currently, Sebastián is serving as Controller adjunto at Soho Boutique Hotels, starting in 2022.

Sebastián Sánchez Vasco attended Universidad Loyola from 1988 to 1995, where they obtained a degree in Licenciado en Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales, with a focus on Empresariales.

In terms of additional certifications, Sebastián obtained several certifications in recent years. In 2022, they completed the Python for Beginners course at SAP, as well as the SAP Analytics Cloud – Become an Augmented BI Expert course. Sebastián also completed the SAP ERP Essential Training course at LinkedIn and the Curso de Sistemas Cloud at The Valley Digital Business School. In the same year, they completed the Ride the SAP HANA Wave: Fundamentals and Insights into Cloud Databases course at SAP.

In 2022, Sebastián also acquired several other certifications including Aprende Word (Office 365/Microsoft 365), Función LAMBDA en Excel esencial, Mindfulness: Cómo conseguir una atención plena, and Power BI esencial, all from LinkedIn. In 2021, they obtained the Nivel B2 en inglés certification from the British Council, as well as certifications in Power BI para principiantes: Análisis de datos, Excel avanzado: Automatizaciones con VBA (Office/Microsoft 365), Excel: Fórmulas y funciones avanzadas (Office 365/Microsoft 365), Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central esencial, and Trucos rápidos de Excel (Office 365/Microsoft 365), all from LinkedIn.

Their earliest certifications in recent years include Tutorial avanzado Outlook y Excel and Tutorial avanzado de Excel y Power Point, both obtained in 2020 from Dabo Consulting.
