Samantha Sun

Samantha Sun has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Samantha started their career as an intern at the New York City Council and later interned at the China Children & Teenagers' Fund. Samantha then worked as an English teacher part-time at Just You and as a recruitment specialist at the China International Teacher's Association. Samantha also worked as a global recruiter at iSoftStone.

After that, Samantha transitioned to the events industry, starting as a sales assistant and later becoming an account manager at Culinary Capers Catering and Special Events. Samantha then joined Frost Productions NY as an associate account manager, where they created sales proposals and managed vendor relationships.

Samantha then moved to SoHo Experiential, where they held various roles. Samantha started as an account executive and managed multiple activations for corporate and spirit clients. Samantha then became a senior account executive and provided support for over 100 activations per year. Later, they served as a production supervisor, sourcing and managing internal teams and external vendors. Currently, Samantha is employed at SoHo Experiential as an account director.

Most recently, Samantha worked as a venue/studio manager at Moonlight Studios NYC. In this role, they managed all inquiries and sales proposals for various events and shoots, implemented standardized processes, and facilitated communication with clients and venue teams.

Throughout their career, Samantha has gained experience in event management, sales, recruitment, and teaching. Samantha has demonstrated skills in project coordination, client communication, vendor management, and budgeting.

Samantha Sun completed their undergraduate education from 2008 to 2012 at Rutgers University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in East Asian Languages and Area Studies. In 2012, they furthered their education by studying abroad at Peking University for a year in the Chinese Studies Institute, focusing on Chinese as a Second Language.

In terms of additional certifications, Samantha obtained two certifications in April 2021 from Coursera. The first certification is in "Entrepreneurship I: Laying the Foundation," and the second certification is in "Entrepreneurship II: Preparing for Launch." The institution providing these certifications is Coursera.
