Joe Slater

Joe Slater possesses extensive experience in the engineering and technical support fields, with a strong focus on remote-operated vehicles (ROVs). Currently serving as a Field Service Engineer at SMD since April 2024, Joe has previously held significant roles including Senior ROV Pilot at Oceaneering and Customer Support Engineer at Inca Digital Printers. In earlier positions, Joe demonstrated expertise as a Dmac Tooling Tech/ROV Pilot at Technip and Integration Technician at both Perry Slingsby Systems and Forum Energy Technologies, focusing on ROV and TMS integration and mobilization. Joe's technical capabilities were further honed as a Test/Support Engineer at Zetechtics Ltd, involving electronics testing and providing customer support. Joe holds a BEng Hons degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from the University of Teesside, completed between 2005 and 2008.
