Cherie Swenson has a diverse work experience in various leadership and development roles. Cherie started their career in 1996 as an Associate Director of Development at the Medical College of Wisconsin and worked there until 1998. In 2003, they joined Carroll University and held multiple positions, including Director of Stewardship and Donor Relations, Director of Corporate and Special Gifts, and eventually Senior Director of Development until 2016. From 2016 to 2021, Cherie worked at Luther Manor, a Life Plan Community, where they served as the Executive Director - Luther Manor Foundation and later as the Executive Director of Donor and Advocacy Engagement.
