Russian-speaking Program Coordinator at Sojourner

Olesya O is a seasoned educator and program coordinator with extensive experience in linguistics and language instruction. Since January 2020, Olesya has served as a Russian-speaking Program Coordinator at Sojourner. Concurrently, since August 2008, Olesya has been a Lecturer at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, teaching courses such as Introduction to Reading, Writing, and Research, Educational Linguistics, and Introduction to Language Studies. Prior to this role, Olesya was a Teaching Assistant at UW-Milwaukee from 2002 to 2008, where co-teaching and language instruction were key responsibilities. Earlier experiences include volunteering as a childcare provider, offering Russian language classes, and serving as a volunteer interpreter at the Hunger Task Force. Olesya holds a Ph.D. in English/Linguistics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, as well as degrees in foreign languages and teaching from Penza State Pedagogical University and the University of Wisconsin.
