Sol-Tech
Annemieke Pouwels has a diverse work experience in the education and training sector. Annemieke started their career at Aros in 2008, where they held various roles including Manager: E-Learning, Teaching and Learning Coordinator, and Head Academic Support Services. Annemieke also worked as a Lecturer in Educational Research during this time. In 2016, they joined Mukhanyo Theology College as a Compliance Manager and later transitioned to the role of Advisor & Consultant at Mukhanyo Theological College in 2018. Currently, they are working at Sol-Tech, where they hold the position of Head of the Department: Artisans Training and Deputy Head: Education and Training.
Annemieke Pouwels began their education journey in 2004 at NWU, South Africa. Annemieke pursued a Bachelor of Education degree with a focus on Junior High/Intermediate/Middle School Education and Teaching, graduating in 2007. In 2009, they continued their studies at North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit, obtaining a B Ed Honours degree in Teaching and Learning by 2010. Later, in 2012, Annemieke enrolled at UFS and completed a Master of Arts degree in Higher Education Studies in 2015. Currently, Annemieke is a PhD student at North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit, specializing in Education: Curriculum Studies since 2019.
Sol-Tech
Sol-Tech is a private technical training institution founded on Christian values and with Afrikaans as the medium of instruction. Sol-Tech offers formal training in the following trades: electrician, millwright, diesel mechanic, fitter and turner, welder, fitter and tool and die maker. The college intends to offer courses in other scarce skills in future as well. The main campus is located in Kirkney, Pretoria.
