Sanjar Bakhtiyar

Sanjar Bakhtiyar is the Founder and CEO of Solai Inc., where they focus on optimizing last-mile delivery routes and automating decision-making processes for delivery companies using Deep Reinforcement Learning. Prior to this, they worked as an AI Research Scientist at System Intelligence Lab, where they developed AI dispatchers and schedulers for solving combinatorial optimization problems. Sanjar worked on various industrial R&D projects, including developing AI schedulers for Samsung Semiconductor Fab and AI dispatchers for Hyundai Heavy Industries and the Ministry of Korea. Sanjar also collaborated with NCSoft to develop Deep RL bots for StarCraft 2. Before that, they served as a Research Intern at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, where they worked on creating special video/audio effects utilizing motion sensor data and automatic highlights for esports streams. Sanjar began their career as a Business Development Consultant at Hydromash Orion Group, gaining valuable life lessons and working with top decision-makers in the Oil & Gas industry.

Sanjar Bakhtiyar obtained a Master of Science - MS degree in Artificial Intelligence from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, attending the institution from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering from the same university, studying from 2012 to 2017. Before pursuing higher education, they attended Almaty Kazakh-Turkish High School from 2007 to 2012 and earned their High School diploma with a focus on Mathematics and Physics.
