About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Funding Manager to join our Corporate Finance team at Solar Landscape!  Reporting to the Director of Financial Operations, Planning & Analysis, the Project Funding Manager will be responsible for managing funding-related activities throughout project lifecycles.  The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the renewable energy sector, including project financing structures, funding sources, and regulatory considerations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage working relationships with financing parties invested in project portfolios to ensure a high service level and efficient processes.
  • Manage the process of receiving construction loan and tax equity fundings as projects progress from start of construction through to commercial operation. Coordinate deliverables from third-party consultants and internal departments in support of these fundings.
  • Manage project-level financial reporting for budget against actuals, cash forecasting and reporting to financing partners; support generation of reporting and documentation required to release funds from financing partners. Manage third-party advisors to keep complex tax-equity portfolio financial models up-to-date.
  • Conduct ad hoc reporting to support the Director of FOP&A, the Accounting and Investments teams, and senior management with various project reporting.
  • Engage in various special projects for the Corporate Finance team as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another quantitative field.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis and advanced spreadsheet modeling skills with at least 2 years of experience managing energy generating asset and/or platform budgets, cash positions, reporting, loan draws and equity fundings.
  • Working knowledge of project finance, debt and tax equity documentation compliance, and associated reporting for power generating assets and platforms, typical transaction structures, and key risk allocation principles.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting deadlines and achieving results.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, and attention to detail.
  • Previous work experience in Renewable Energy or Finance industries and familiarity with project finance modeling is preferred.
