Jean-Pierre Breaux

Jean-Pierre (JP) Breaux has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Jean-Pierre (JP) is currently serving as the VP Treasurer at NRG Energy since July 2023. Prior to that, from November 2021 to July 2023, they worked as the Treasurer at Montana Renewables, LLC. Before that, from November 2018 to July 2023, they held the role of Treasurer at Calumet Specialty Products Partners, L.P.

Earlier in their career, Jean-Pierre served as the VP and Treasurer at Carrizo Oil & Gas, Inc. from March 2015 to November 2018. Jean-Pierre (JP) also worked for Energy XXI, where they served as the Treasurer from January 2011 to March 2015 and as a Risk Analyst from June 2010 to January 2011.

Before joining Energy XXI, Jean-Pierre worked at Shell Energy North America as a Natural Gas Scheduler from July 2009 to June 2010 and as an Operations Analyst from April 2008 to July 2009. Jean-Pierre (JP) began their career at Deloitte, where they worked as a Consultant - Global Energy Markets from September 2005 to April 2008.

Jean-Pierre (JP) Breaux earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Finance, with a specialization in General Finance, from Texas A&M University from 2001 to 2005. During the same period, they also obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and Finance from the same institution. In addition to their academic qualifications, JP Breaux holds certifications such as Certified Treasury Professional (obtained in 2016), Energy Risk Professional (obtained in 2011), and CPA (obtained in 2008).
