Roderick Buijs

Roderick Buijs currently serves as the Head of Proposals and Business Development Specialist at SolarDuck since January 2024. Previously, Roderick held the position of Senior Regional Service Manager for North, West & South Europe at Damen from April 2018 to December 2023, where responsibilities included overseeing Damen Services activities in Germany and Scandinavia, driving a transformation towards proactive sales, and achieving yearly revenue growth of 10%. Roderick co-founded SafeRails BV, a technical start-up recognized in ‘The Hague Innovators Contest 2017,’ focused on enhancing streetcar tracks for cyclist safety. Roderick's earlier experiences include roles at Damen Shipyards Group, Huisman Equipment B.V., Novus Leo, VBMS, Vopak, and participating in international research projects, complemented by a solid academic background from Delft University of Technology with both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in engineering disciplines.
