Gustavo Cifuentes EIT

Gustavo Cifuentes EIT has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Gustavo started their career as a Field Supervisor at Halliburton, where they planned and oversaw water treatment and cuttings disposal at the well site, evaluated surface equipment for fluids processing, and performed necessary calculations for chemical treatments. Gustavo then moved on to become a Field Engineer II at Halliburton, where they performed mass balances and formulated recipes for fluids, ordered and tracked chemical products and equipment, and managed physical inventories. At the University of Alberta, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant, conducting research in the engineering field. Gustavo later joined the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Alberta as a Research Assistant. Currently, Gustavo is working as a Process Engineer EIT at Solaris MCI.

Gustavo Cifuentes EIT has a strong educational background in chemical engineering. Gustavo obtained their Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Colombia, from 2002 to 2007. Gustavo then pursued further education and completed their Master of Science (MSc) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta, from 2018 to 2022.

In addition to their academic degrees, Gustavo Cifuentes EIT has also obtained various certifications. Gustavo has completed a course on Oil & Gas Process Simulation/ Modeling Using Aspen HYSYS from Udemy in December 2022. Gustavo obtained the Engineer In Training certification from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) in September 2022. Gustavo has also completed a course on Statistics & Probability for Data Science from Udemy in August 2022. Furthermore, they have obtained the Verified International Academic Qualifications from World Education Services in June 2022. In March 2014, they obtained the IADC RIG PASS certification from IADC Houston Chapter. Additionally, they obtained the Registro profesional certification from Consejo Profesional de Ingenieria Química de Colombia in March 2008. Lastly, Gustavo Cifuentes EIT is currently pursuing another Engineer In Training certification from Engineers and Geoscientists BC, expected to be obtained in May 2023.
