Norbert Betzl

Norbert Betzl has a strong background in the solar industry. Norbert started their career at the Helmholtz Center for Environmental Research in 1999 as a scientific staff member. In 2003, they moved to the Rossendorf Research Center in the same position.

In 2004, Norbert joined Solarwatt AG as an R&D Engineer, where they were responsible for testing and qualifying supply materials and investigating the long-term reliability of PV modules. Norbert later became a Product Manager in 2007 and then Director of R&D and Product Management from 2008 to 2011.

Moving on, Norbert worked at Innotech Solar AS as a Product Manager for PV-Modules from 2011 to 2012. Norbert then joined Solarion AG as part of their Strategic Module Development team from 2012 to 2015.

From 2015 to 2017, Norbert worked at OC3 AG in the R&D Solar Module role. Norbert'smost recent position is as the Director of Product Management for Solar Module at SOLARWATT GmbH, which they have held since September 2017.

Norbert Betzl completed their education from 1991 to 1999 at Friedrich Schiller University Jena. During this period, they pursued a Diploma in Geophysics with a focus on fields of study such as Physics, Geophysics, and Geology.
