Dr. C David Adair has an extensive education history. C David obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in biology/geography from Morehead State University in 1986. Prior to that, they attended Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College from 1981 to 1983. In 1982, they briefly studied chemistry at the University of Pikeville. Dr. Adair then pursued their medical education at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, earning their Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree in 1990.

After completing their medical degree, Dr. Adair joined the University of Florida College of Medicine for their residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, which they completed in 1994. Subsequently, they further specialized in Maternal Fetal Medicine through a fellowship at Wake Forest University School of Medicine from 1994 to 1996.

In 2019, Dr. Adair also received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Gary W. Rollins College of Business, specializing in healthcare.

Additionally, Dr. Adair holds a certification as a Board Certified Subspecialist in Maternal-Fetal Medicine from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG), which they obtained in March 1999.
