Kathir Tahasin

Kathir Tahasin has a diverse work experience in the fields of system engineering, software engineering, and web development. Their most recent role was as a System Engineer at Solcellespesialisten AS, where they started in January 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Engineer at the same company from June 2022 to February 2023.

Before joining Solcellespesialisten AS, Kathir served as the President of StAI - Stavanger AI from April 2022 to February 2023.

They also have experience as a Senior Software Developer and Junior Software Developer at SmartRetail from 2020 to 2022. During this time, they were involved in various web-based and digital transformation projects, improving work efficiency through automation, and developing web applications.

Before their tenure at SmartRetail, Kathir worked as a Junior Engineer & Consultant at Felda Mobile Sdn Bhd from September 2018 to September 2019, where they focused on UML documentation, bug testing, and reporting, as well as web design and front-end development. They also assisted the Marketing Department in organizing outreach programs.

Kathir gained web development experience as a part-time Web Development Intern at Felda Mobile Sdn. Bhd. from June 2018 to September 2018, where they worked on database maintenance, technical support, and a website replacement project.

Additionally, they served as a Language Editor at IIUM from June 2016 to May 2018, where they edited English-language theses and articles. Prior to that, Kathir worked as a Pre-University Tutor from August 2015 to January 2018.

From 2021 to 2023, Kathir attended the University of Stavanger and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Data Science.

Between 2015 and 2020, Kathir studied at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) where they pursued a degree in Computer, Information & Electronics Engineering.

In 2014 and 2015, Kathir attended Methodist College Kuala Lumpur and completed their IGCSE A levels in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Further Mathematics.

From 2012 to 2013, Kathir studied at Fairview International School and obtained their IGCSE O levels in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, ICT, and Statistics.

In 2010 and 2011, Kathir attended Sri Utama International School for their high school education.

From 2008 to 2010, Kathir studied at William Carey Academy and completed their middle school education.

Kathir's primary education took place from 2002 to 2008 at Slettebakken Skole in Bergen, Norway.
