Deena Friedman leads Solebury Trout’s Consumer and Retail practice where she advises and guides sector clients in their investor engagement strategies. She joined Solebury Trout in 2021 and has worked with many private and public clients that are disrupting their respective sub-sectors.
She has been involved with the consumer and retail sectors for the past 20 years, holding senior investment and strategy roles. She has holistic sector expertise which includes retail, CPG, apparel, footwear, online platforms as well as health and wellness. Deena previously served as a global consumer leader at Ernst & Young, guiding executive teams through strategic decision-making to position their companies to be at the forefront of current and future consumer trends. The majority of her career was spent in the investment management industry as a buy-side analyst and portfolio manager as well as a sell-side analyst, analyzing and evaluating global consumer discretionary and consumer staples companies for investment. She worked at Fidelity Investments, Brean Murray Carret, Piper Jaffray, and Morgan Stanley. As a result of these experiences, Deena has a unique understanding of how to create impactful investor engagement strategies.
Deena received her B.A. and MBA degrees from Columbia University.
