Victor Manuel Higareda Alvear

Victor Manuel Higareda Alvear is a bioinformatician currently working at Solena since October 2021, focusing on harnessing the power of soil microorganisms. Previously, from February 2016 to August 2021, Victor completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Sciences at Centro de Ciencias Genómicas, UNAM, analyzing gene expression in Drosophila melanogaster in response to parasitoid wasps. Victor also earned a Master's degree in Biochemistry from the same institution between January 2012 and December 2015, where the work involved the cultivation and molecular identification of bacteria and yeasts associated with the Mexican fruit fly, Anastrepha ludens.
