Senior PV Module R&D Engineer at Solestial

Manuel Rosenzweig has a diverse range of work experience, primarily in the field of renewable energy and materials research. Manuel is currently working as a Senior PV Module R&D Engineer at Solestial, starting in March 2023. Previously, they worked as a Senior Engineer R&D at SolAero by Rocket Lab from December 2020 to March 2023.

In 2019, Manuel worked as a Research Assistant at the Heterogeneous Catalysis & Materials Chemistry Group at USF, where they focused on developing perovskite catalysts for CO2 to CO conversion. Manuel also worked as a Research Assistant at the Center for Advanced Life Cycle Engineering (CALCE) during the same year, studying the thermal runaway gases emitted by Lithium batteries under stress.

Manuel's earlier experiences include working as a Research Engineer/Solar Lead at Gamera S UMD, where they contributed to the construction and testing of a solar-powered helicopter. Manuel also served as a Youth Ambassador at the Clean Energy Ministerial and was a part of the Build Team for the University of Maryland's Hyperloop pod, RUMDLOOP.

In 2015, Manuel worked as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at IREAP UMD, conducting experiments on evaporating different metals and testing the quality of coated surfaces using Ultra High Vacuums (UHV).

Manuel Rosenzweig earned a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from the University of Maryland between the years 2013 and 2017. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Materials Science & Engineering at the University of South Florida from 2019 to 2020.
