Amitabha Kumar

Amitabha Kumar has worked in a variety of roles across several companies. Amitabha began their career in 2000 as the Director and VP R&D at EarthShell Corporation. In 2004, they took on the role of Technical Manager at JH Research USA, LLC and JHResearchUSA. From 2008 to 2012, they were VP R&D at CalStar Products. Amitabha then transitioned to Director, Materials Research at Boral Industries, Inc. from 2012 to 2015. In 2015, they became Vice President, Innovation and R&D at Boral IP Holdings LLC. Most recently, they were appointed Chief Technology Officer at Solidia Technologies\u00ae in 2022.

Amitabha Kumar earned a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Ceramic Sciences and Engineering from Banaras Hindu University between 1973 and 1979. Amitabha then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Materials Science at Penn State University, which they completed in 1985.
