Hippolyte Vaslin has extensive experience in biotechnology, currently serving as a founding member and COO at Solmeyea since March 2022, where responsibilities include upstream management and leading fermentation development engineering. Previous roles include an internship at CNRS - Centre national de la recherche scientifique, focusing on algal-virus interactions and involving tasks such as algal culture, cytometry, and RNA extraction. Additionally, experience as an operations intern at Laboratoire Prophar and completion of a fifth-year Master degree internship in microalgae culture optimization has strengthened expertise in fermentation and R&D. Hippolyte Vaslin holds a Baccalauréat in Biotechnologie from ENSTBB Bordeaux INP, obtained in 2022.

Solmeyea produces at scale single-cell proteins from CO2 that can be sold for human consumption in Europe, today … In other words, we localize domestically the production of food proteins out of simultaneous assimilation of CO2.
