Michael Darling has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Michael currently holds the position of Vice President-SE&H at SOLV Energy since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the SE&H Director at SOLV Energy for one month. From 2015 to 2021, they served as the Regional SE&H Manager at Swinerton Renewable Energy, where they managed the safety and health team for the multi-state renewable energy division. Michael'sresponsibilities included providing training, developing education programs, and ensuring compliance with EH&S regulations.

Before their role at Swinerton Renewable Energy, from 2013 to 2015, they were the Division SE&H Manager at Swinerton. Michael's work experience also includes being a Safety Consultant/Manager at Compliance Safety Management in 2012, where they were responsible for ensuring compliance with safety and health policies during the construction of the Kaiser Redwood City Medical Center.

From 2007 to 2012, Michael worked as an HSE Coordinator at enXco, where they played a key role in reducing the company's Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) and developing a comprehensive safety manual. Michael also has experience in maintenance as a Maintenance employee at Sumiden Wire Products Corporation and as a Wind Turbine Technician at EDF Renewables North America.

Early in their career, Michael worked in the plumbing industry as a Manager at Commercial and Residential Plumbing with responsibilities in operations and team development. Michael also worked as a Wind Smith at Wintech and as a Taper at San Francisco Drywall. Michael Darling's extensive work experience and qualifications make him a valuable asset in the environmental, health, and safety field.

Michael Darling has an extensive education history. Michael obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Maintenance Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2009, with a minor in Occupational Safety & Health. In 2002, they earned an Aircraft and Power Plant License from Sacramento City College.

In 2012, Darling pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Jack Welch Management Institute, specializing in Business Administration. Michael then went on to Great Commission Bible College, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Theological and Ministerial Studies in 2016.

In addition to their academic achievements, Darling has obtained several certifications. These include the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, obtained in 2014. In 2008, they earned the Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification, also from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. Darling received the Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist (CEAS) certification from The Back School in 2013.

Notably, Darling also holds the Aircraft Mechanic certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), which they obtained in 2002. Furthermore, they acquired the Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP) certification from the NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) in 2017.
